it's a maddening thing, to let go of an idea.
it hasn't failed yet,
but i haven't resolved it either.
i had such high hopes for it, too;
it would prove a few conjectures, some of which are not even mine!
at any rate, it's better that i set it aside, anyway. i've ignored latex'ing for longer than i should have.
papers never write themselves,
no matter how simple the ideas seem.
