at some i must remember:

1. avoid holding office hours on non-teaching days,
2. avoid holding office hours in the mornings.

maybe i am easily distracted by responsibilities, but it is really hard to keep my mind on research tasks when my alloted research time is bounded between two office hours (or lectures).
